Hiking & biking around Beekbergen
Our B&B is located in the middle of the Veluwe. You can follow all kinds of walking and cycling routes from us. Enjoy the nature and all the beauty that you encounter. We gladly advise you on the most beautiful routes, you can look at these walking routes and cycling route:
– Bekbergerpad. This walk is 9 km or 13 km and goes through the outskirts of Beekbergen. Nice through the woods and meadows.
– Song Forest. This walk is about 10 km and goes mainly through the forest. Chances are you will spot wildlife, for example wild boar.
-Beekbergerwoudroute. This is a hefty but beautiful bike ride around Apeldoorn, Beekbergen and Lieren. The route is approximately 31.5 km. Along the route you pass several hotels for a cup of coffee or a nice lunch.
Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij visits
Want a ride on a real steam train? Then visit the Veluwsche Steam Train Company. The trains were running again starting at Easter. The train runs on the over one hundred year old railroad line Apeldoorn – Dieren. Besides the steam train itself, the station itself has a lot to see. Think of the large workshop, the old station building, a moving coal crane and much more. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the station itself. A super fun outing for young and old alike!
Shopping around Beekbergen
Do you love going into town and wandering around? Then there is plenty for you to do in our area as well. For example, shopping city Apeldoorn is nearby, about 10 minutes by car. A little further away are Deventer (25 min) and Zutphen (30 min). Both very nice Hanseatic cities situated on the river IJssel. It is recommended to do a city walk here, there is a lot to see!
