Dickens Festival in Deventer

This Christmas market in Deventer is highly recommended if you are staying at our B&B around that time! The Dickens Festival takes place on December 16 and 17 in Deventer. In the atmospheric city all kinds of characters from the famous books come to life. Truly wonderful to see for young & old! Admission is free, please note that there may be a wait at the entrance.

Winter festival in Zutphen

On December 10 you can visit Zutphen for festive shopping day (12:00 – 17:00)! You will enjoy all the lights, Christmas trees, live music, street theater, children’s attractions, food trucks and stalls. Of course, all stores and restaurants are also open. Go shopping and enjoy Zutphen

Christmas vacations at Paleis het Loo

From December 22 to January 6, you can enjoy the Christmas vacations at Paleis het Loo. The palace is beautifully decorated full of lights and Christmas trees. For children there are all kinds of fun things to do, such as a treasure hunt and a craft activity. But also for adults it is definitely worth visiting Paleis het Loo during this period!

VSM Christmas Express

On December 16 and 17, you can take the special Christmas Express train from Arnhem! The Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij is organizing this train ride. The train departs from Arnhem CS and makes a magical journey through the winter landscape of the Veluwe. You will fully enjoy the Christmas atmosphere! Tip: on December 17 it is also Winter Wonderland in Arnhem. So you can combine the train ride with a visit to the atmospheric city and enjoy the Christmas market with no less than 250 stalls!
